Women Entrepreneurs & Creators of Cannabis to celebrate on 4/20

We compiled a list of amazing women pioneers breaking barriers within the Cannabis industry. Women with a common goal of killing the stigma surrounding the use of marijuana, fueled by community, culture, and sisterhood.

High Herstory

High Herstory is a media brand and original series focused on the intersection of women and weed, founded by NYC/Portland based production company and creative agency, Mercury Road Media. Specializing in digital media that reaches a driven, informed female audience via branded content, films & series, we work with clients like Penguin Random House, Clarkson Potter, Shrill Society, and cutting edge brands in the cannabis space to normalize cannabis consumption.

The nine episode season of High Herstory, a cannabis comedy series which tells the stories of nine historical womxn, normalizes cannabis consumption and showcases the best brands out there. It will premiere in 2021 on the fastest growing cannabis connected TV network, Social Club TV, to millions of viewers via top platforms Apple TV, IOS, Android, Roku, reaching the largest cannabis and hemp audience in the world.

Haejin Chun is the founder of Big Bad Wolf, a pop-up dinner series in the Bay Area known for its intimate ambiance, artistically plated food, cannabis-infusions, and heart-made intentions. She does not take lightly the power food has in bringing people together; she uses food to highlight that sense of togetherness and create a community of honoring the present.

Xula is a Latinx and Black-owned CBD brand born in Mexico City.

Laura OG, Founder of SMK BRK

Laura OG is a cannabis cultivator, educator, and consultant dedicated to teaching women how to incorporate cannabis into their everyday life through conscious consumption and self-care practices.

She is an advocate for equity and diversity within the cannabis industry and founded SMK BRK in the pursuit of normalizing conversations between women and cannabis through storytelling, design, events, and music curation. She lobbies for home grows and believes everyone should have the knowledge + space to grow their own medicine.

Between both her passion for cannabis and exciting brand concepts, Laura has introduced new levels of execution and thought to both industries and continues to break the ceiling on what’s possible and what’s imagined.

Jasmine Mans, Founder of ‘Buy Weed From Women’

Jasmine Mans is an American poet, artist from Newark, New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison, with a B.A. in African American Studies. Her debut collection of poetry, Chalk Outlines of Snow Angels, was published in 2012. Mans is the resident poet at the Newark Public Library. She was a member of The Strivers Row Collective.

She is the founder of Buy Weed From Women, a canna-based and fashion-forward brand representing sisterhood within the cannabis community.

Broccolis Magazine, Founded by Anja Charbonneau

Broccoli is the international magazine for cannabis lovers. 

Created by women who love weed, Broccoli is a magazine presenting a new perspective on cannabis culture. Playful, informed, eclectic, and thoughtful, it encourages the discovery and intelligent appreciation of cannabis through explorations of art, culture, and fashion.

Broccoli magazine is published three times a year, and the Broccoli Talk podcast airs new episodes every two weeks. The Broccoli Report is sent every Monday and Friday.
