Meet soulful singer-songwriter, Christina LaRocca, a member of the Recording Academy, switched coasts in 2014, and the now Los Angeles-based musician, found inspiration in her trek out west. The colors of an Arizona sunset, the glowing fields of Nebraska and sheer power of The Rocky Mountains reignited a spirit of living life can be held responsible for the artist’s organically rustic influences like Sheryl Crow, Janis Joplin, and more recently, Lana Del Rey, Bishop Briggs, and First Aid Kit.
Raised in an Italian family and a descendent of professional musicians, Christina grew up surrounded by musicianship and quickly developed her voice in the americana, soul and folk realms. Sunday was never a dull day in the LaRocca household, which was always full of music. LaRocca, a mover and shaker in the music business at-large, founded L Rock Entertainment, an entertainment promotion company, and has booked shows for more than 2K artists worldwide. She’s performed with the Café Wha Band, folk artist Ryan Martin and hip hop artists, The Higher Concept which lead her to meeting Josh Glazer of J Glaze Productions who recorded her 3rd studio record in 2011 “I Stand Tall With My Eyes Wide Open.”
Jump ahead to 2017, 3 years after Christina settles in Los Angeles, she records “Child of the Sun” and “I Am Only Human” with LA producer Robb Torres. The 2 Single Digital Release goes live on Friday Nov 3. She brings in a twist of Americana and Rock to her already very soulful vibe.
