“I Wash You Dry” is the second book published by New-York based artist and stylist Katie Burnett.
The project began to take shape in 2021, shortly after Burnett’s first book “Cabin Fever‘’ was released. Over the course of forty pages, I Wash You Dry takes the audience on a trip into the psychedelic mix of beaches, bodies and sock puppets. The images were shot between Jamaica and her Brooklyn home, where her inspiration is strongest allowing self exploring portraits to unfold.
The mesmerizing black and white photography creatively focuses on the combination of sock puppets and naked bodies. Some may refer to as strange, but we find genius and visually providing an aesthetic pleasure. Published by Dashwood Books, the volume is part of a limited edition of 750 copies and is out now.
