Born in Pasadena, California.  The eldest of 5 children, she and her siblings were raised with an appreciation for the arts including dance, music, theatre, film and fashion.  Rivera grew up performing. She appeared in over 25 musical theatre productions between age 12 and 18.

After high school, Rivera attended California State University, Fullerton and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with an emphasis on Costume Design.  She designed costumes and makeup for several productions at the University, as well as the original theatrical production “Blasting Holes in the Night” at California State University Northridge.

While studying Costume Design, Rivera was simultaneously attending Fullerton College where she studied Fashion Design and Photography.  In 2005, Rivera left for Florence, Italy where she studied art history and the Italian language.

After returning to Southern California, Rivera was awarded a scholarship by the American Sewing Guild’s Orange County Chapter, and won 1st place for purse design at the California Community College Fashion Symposium in Downtown Los Angeles. She worked as both a runway and print model while living in Los Angeles.

In 2008, Rivera moved to New York City where she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and earned an AAS degree in Fashion Design. While at FIT Rebecca was chosen to design a collection for the annual Parsons/FIT Runway competition, as well as participate in several charity fashion shows for the organization Sisters on the Runway. In 2013, Rivera qualified for the top 50 in the MUUSE X Vogue Talents Young Vision Award competition.

Rivera currently resides in New York City and is at work on her latest collection.
