Girls Who Rock, is being held in New York this Friday, June 10th, in support of the not-for-profit organization
She’s The First! The cause sponsors girls’ education in the developing world, working with everyday change-makers to fundraise for sponsorships, using the power of their creativity and the reach of their online and offline social networks. For sponsors, She’s the First builds community, leadership opportunities, and a sense of global citizenship. For underprivileged girls, a sponsorship is life-changing: Most will be the first in their families to graduate, and make groundbreaking achievements, big and small, that will better our world. GIRLS WHO ROCK was founded by Cynthia Hellen and She’s the First, Tammy Tibbetts with the help and partnership of Internet Week NY. The annual concert aims to bring together the strongest voices in technology, entertainment, and design to advocate for the future of our next generations to come. The concert includes appearances by Nina Sky, Jo Jo, DJ Kiss, and more! What an inspiring movement, I wish I could be there! Should make for a great evening of music, unity, and humanitarianism.
